Ride for the Kids. Ride for the Future. Ride for A.L.I.C.E.
Ride for A.L.I.C.E. is United Way of North Idaho’s annual, virtual campaign that brings the community together to support the children of North Idaho’s A.L.I.C.E. families—those who are Asset-Limited, Income-Constrained, Employed.
Every August, we invite individuals, families, and teams to grab their wheels—bikes, scooters, rollerblades, trikes—whatever rolls—and ride throughout the month in solidarity with North Idaho’s working families. Whether it’s a few miles or a hundred, every ride helps raise awareness and support for the thousands of children growing up in households that are working hard but struggling to meet their basic needs.
What’s New in 2025?
This year, Ride for A.L.I.C.E. goes beyond child care to support health, education, and essential needs for A.L.I.C.E. children across North Idaho. Funds raised help families bridge critical gaps in access to care, school readiness, healthy development, and basic stability.
And the best part? It’s all virtual and family-friendly—ride anytime, anywhere, throughout the month of August.
How to Participate:
Choose your ride: Pick your favorite wheels—bike, scooter, rollerblades, trike, etc.
Ride in August: Head outside, ride indoors, or track your miles however you like.
Share your story: Post a photo or video of your ride with the hashtags
#RideforALICE or #RideforALICE2025
Tell us why you ride: Inspire others by sharing your reason for riding—whether it’s for a child, a cause, or a community.
Optional: Share your total distance ridden to highlight your impact!

Why We Ride
In North Idaho, 1 in 3 households live below the A.L.I.C.E. threshold. These families are often left out of traditional assistance programs but still struggle with the high costs of living—especially for their children’s health, education, and care.
